I’m a 7th grader with a passion for building.  I’ve been working with tools since I was one year old (mostly the plastic ones at that time). My mom loves to tell the story of my first birthday when I got a toy that required batteries; she flipped it over, unscrewed the battery compartment and put in the batteries.  From that point on I never played with my toys properly again. Instead, I would just flip them over, go get the screwdriver, unscrew all the screws, take things apart, and then put it back together. Then I discovered hardware stores and loved to roam the aisles checking out every single tool.  We would get scrap wood, and I got pretty good with a hammer and nails and then graduated to a drill and started actually making things. My first big project was a small credenza I built when I was five.  My love for woodworking has continued to grow as I grow and learn, and I am able to use more tools.

I’ve made numerous projects as gifts which I design specifically for the person I’m giving it to.  At the end of each school year, I make each of my teachers a personalized woodwork project as a thank you gift.

Please keep in mind that I am not a professional woodworker, although I do my very best to make all my projects look as professional as possible. I don’t have a big workshop with all the tools imaginable (dare to dream), I work out of a space my parents have for me in our garage with the tools that I have and that they feel comfortable letting me work with.
